Why would I want to resurface?
Many people choose resurfacing over replacement for a number of reasons. You may be selling your house and just want a facelift that won't take months to complete. Or your budget does not allow for a five figure renovation. Or you simply don't need a full renovation but rather a new look on your kitchen bench top or a colour change on your bath.
Is it expensive to resurface?
Depending on the area and items you plan to resurface the prices will vary but it will still be a fraction of the cost of replacing these items.
How long does it take to resurface my bath?
To resurface your bath onsite it takes around three to four hours to complete.
How long does it take to do my whole bathroom or kitchen?
Depending on the size of your bathroom or kitchen it could take between two to five days to complete.
Does it last?
Yes. The life expectancy of a standard re-enamelled kitchen and bathroom surface is 10-15 years and is designed to withstand its intended use.
After that time do I have to throw the bath out?
No. The bath can be stripped of its old enamel and be done again.
What if I want a colour other than white?
All our tradesman are experienced in colour matching and can match the colour of your choice onsite while you wait.
Do you do full renovations?
Yes, we can do tiling, carpentry and plumbing renovations, however, we do not replace full kitchens.
Can you restore my claw foot bath and pedestal basin?
Yes. Nu-Pride has a purpose built factory where these items go through a restoration process that includes baking of the enamel in a heat room. The process normally takes about 3-5 weeks.
Does it smell?
There will be an odour but we do carry exhaust fans that will help to extract the smell on the day.
Can you resurface my grout lines too?
Yes when a tile job is being done this will seal up your grout lines which will eliminate the porous surface that causes mildew.
What can be resurfaced?
Bath, basin, shower base, wall tiles, kitchen cupboards and drawers, bench tops, wood furniture, laminated surfaces & more.
